While potting up a variety of seeds this week, it dawned on me that I didn’t have any plant tags on hand. Surely I’m not alone in this.

In any case, while the Teddy Bear Sunflowers, Italian Basil, Cilantro, and a few others varieties I planted patiently waited while I searched high and low for popsicle sticks, that as it happens don’t seem to actually exist anymore, if they ever did, I found a package of clothes pins instead.
When considering the present typical rainy April weather we’re experiencing, (not that I’m complaining because it’s better than snow), hanging clothes on the line isn’t an option right now, so the clothes pins are now plant labels instead.
So, if you’re in a pinch like I was, (pun intended), substituting clothes pins works out rather well!
Happy spring and happy planting!
